GreenPrint will be attending at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference taking place in Katowice, Poland this December. The conference is crucial for decision-making on efforts to control the emission of greenhouse gases.
“The measures to halt global warming are generally considered to be some of the most important civilizational challenges and a prerequisite for the implementation of the principles and objectives of sustainable development. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its annual Conferences of the Parties (COPs), which constitute the main decision-making body of the Convention, are the most important instrument of international cooperation in the field of tackling the impacts of climate change.” COP24 Vision for Presidency
Every year, representatives from around 200 countries come together with cities, states, regions, territories, business and civil society to discuss the internationally-agreed temperature goal, the national climate action plans and the wider objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. GreenPrint is proud to be in attendance this year.
This year, the Conference will be an important milestone for the Paris Agreement. At COP21 it was the birth of the Agreement. In Poland, the conference has been called Paris 2.0, where all the parties will put together the pieces, directions and guidelines in order to make the framework really operate.
For GreenPrint, it will be an unique opportunity to participate in high level discussions on topics such as carbon pricing, new regulations, clean technologies and innovation.
